Salad Ingredients
  • 4 medium ripe tomatoes sliced
  • 8 oz fresh mozzarella cheese sliced
  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves whole
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil for drizzling
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic glaze for drizzling
  • 1 teaspoon salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground, to taste

Method
 

Assembling the Salad
  1. On a serving platter, alternate layers of sliced tomatoes and mozzarella cheese.
  2. Tuck whole basil leaves between the layers of tomatoes and mozzarella.
  3. Drizzle the salad with extra virgin olive oil and balsamic glaze.
  4. Sprinkle with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
  5. Serve immediately and enjoy!
