Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts choose fresh for the best flavor
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced for a robust, pungent kick
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce balances sweetness and umami, a must for the marinade
  • 2 tbsp honey adds a delicious hint of sweetness
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice brightens the flavor profile, making the chicken juicy
  • 2 tbsp olive oil helps the marinade stick and keeps the chicken moist while grilling

Equipment

  • Grill
  • mixing bowl
  • Skewers
  • Meat Thermometer

Method

  1. Cut the boneless, skinless chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine the minced garlic, low-sodium soy sauce, honey, lemon juice, and olive oil. Whisk until well blended.
  3. Pour the marinade over the chicken pieces, tossing to coat all sides. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, around 375°F.
  5. Thread the marinated chicken onto skewers and grill for about 5-7 minutes per side until golden brown and fully cooked.
  6. Remove the skewers from the grill and serve immediately, drizzling with any leftover marinade if desired.
