Steps
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease your baking dish.
- Peel, core, and slice the apples into 1/4-inch thick pieces.
- Combine sliced apples, sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice in a bowl.
- Spread the apple mixture in the bottom of your baking dish.
- Whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in another bowl.
- Pour melted butter into the flour mixture and stir until crumbly.
- Sprinkle the crumb topping over the apples in the dish.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
- Tent with foil if the top browns too quickly but apples aren’t done.
- Let cool for at least 15 minutes before serving with ice cream.
