Assemble the Cake
- In a 9x13 inch baking dish, lay down 6 ice cream sandwiches in a single layer.
- Spread half of the whipped topping over the ice cream sandwiches evenly.
- Drizzle half of the chocolate sauce over the whipped topping.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining ice cream sandwiches, whipped topping, and chocolate sauce.
- Cover the dish with plastic wrap and freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm.
Serve
- Once firm, remove the cake from the freezer and let it sit for a few minutes.
- Cut into squares and serve topped with sprinkles and any optional toppings.
