Ingredients
  

Cake Base
  • 1 box chocolate cake mix Prepare according to package instructions.
  • 1 cup water For cake mix preparation.
  • 1 cup vegetable oil For cake mix preparation.
  • 3 large eggs For cake mix preparation.
Ice Cream Layers
  • 1 quart vanilla ice cream Softened.
  • 1 quart chocolate ice cream Softened.
  • 1 cup chocolate syrup For drizzling.
Topping
  • 1 cup whipped cream For frosting the cake.
  • 1 cup chocolate shavings For garnish.

Method
 

Prepare the Cake
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs. Mix until smooth.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  4. Allow the cake to cool completely in the pan before removing.
Assemble the Ice Cream Cake
  1. Once the cake is cool, slice it in half horizontally to create two layers.
  2. Place one layer of the cake on a serving plate. Spread half of the softened vanilla ice cream on top.
  3. Drizzle some chocolate syrup over the ice cream layer.
  4. Add the second layer of cake on top and spread the chocolate ice cream over it.
  5. Cover the cake with plastic wrap and freeze for at least 2 hours to firm up.
Decorate and Serve
  1. Remove the cake from the freezer and frost the top and sides with whipped cream.
  2. Garnish with chocolate shavings and drizzle more chocolate syrup on top.
  3. Slice and serve immediately. Enjoy!
