Ingredients
  

Cake Layers
  • 1 box chocolate cake mix or any flavor of your choice
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
Ice Cream Layers
  • 1 quart vanilla ice cream softened
  • 1 quart chocolate ice cream softened
Frosting
  • 1 cup whipped cream for topping
  • 1/4 cup chocolate syrup for drizzling

Method
 

Prepare Cake Layers
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs. Mix until smooth.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  4. Allow the cake to cool completely in the pan before removing.
Assemble Ice Cream Cake
  1. Once the cake is cooled, slice it in half horizontally to create two layers.
  2. Place one layer of the cake on a serving plate. Spread half of the softened vanilla ice cream over the cake layer.
  3. Add the second layer of cake on top of the ice cream. Spread the softened chocolate ice cream over this layer.
  4. Cover the cake with plastic wrap and freeze for at least 2 hours to firm up.
Finish and Serve
  1. Remove the cake from the freezer and take off the plastic wrap.
  2. Spread whipped cream over the top and sides of the cake.
  3. Drizzle chocolate syrup over the whipped cream for decoration.
  4. Slice and serve immediately.
