  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese Grate fresh Parmesan for optimal melt and flavor.
  • 1 cup Olive Oil Choose high-quality extra virgin olive oil.
  • 1 pinch Salt Adjust according to dietary needs.
  • 1 pinch Pepper Freshly ground black pepper adds a nice kick.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Gather your ingredients: fresh basil, pine nuts, garlic, Parmesan cheese, olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  2. Rinse the basil leaves under cool water and pat them dry.
  3. Peel and halve the garlic cloves.
  4. Toast the pine nuts in a dry skillet over medium heat for 3 to 5 minutes until golden brown.
  5. In a food processor, combine the toasted pine nuts, basil, garlic, and grated Parmesan. Pulse until finely chopped.
  6. With the processor running, slowly drizzle in the olive oil until well combined.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
