  • 3 medium ripe bananas overripe for maximum sweetness
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup honey or maple syrup natural sweeteners
  • 1/2 cup yogurt or applesauce optional for moisture

  • 1/2 cup nuts or chocolate chips optional for texture

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Gather all your ingredients including ripe bananas, whole wheat flour, honey or maple syrup, eggs, baking soda, and a pinch of salt.
  2. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Mixing
  1. In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth but still textured.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs and honey (or maple syrup) with the mashed bananas until well combined.
  3. Combine the dry ingredients with the wet mixture, folding gently until just mixed.
Baking
  1. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan and bake for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  2. Let the banana bread cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
