- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cups marinara or pasta sauce
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook Noodles: Boil egg noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- Prepare Beef Sauce: In a skillet, brown ground beef with diced onion over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain excess fat. Stir in marinara sauce and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Mix Creamy Layer: In a bowl, combine sour cream, cottage cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Add the cooked noodles and mix well.
- Assemble Casserole: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). In a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, layer half the noodle mixture, then half the beef sauce. Repeat layers and top with shredded cheddar cheese.
- Bake: Bake for 25 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve: Garnish with parsley if desired. Serve hot.
