  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cups marinara or pasta sauce
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  • Cook Noodles: Boil egg noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  • Prepare Beef Sauce: In a skillet, brown ground beef with diced onion over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain excess fat. Stir in marinara sauce and simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Mix Creamy Layer: In a bowl, combine sour cream, cottage cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Add the cooked noodles and mix well.
  • Assemble Casserole: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). In a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, layer half the noodle mixture, then half the beef sauce. Repeat layers and top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Bake: Bake for 25 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Serve: Garnish with parsley if desired. Serve hot.
