Ingredients

  •  Unsweetened cocoa powder
  •  Granulated sugar
  •  Large eggs
  •  All-purpose flour
  •  Softened cream cheese
  •  Instant coffee granules
  •  Butter

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8 inch baking pan.

2. In one bowl, whisk together cocoa powder, flour, sugar, and salt. In another bowl, melt butter and mix in eggs one at a time.

3. Combine the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just mixed.

4. In a separate bowl, beat softened cream cheese with sugar and instant coffee until smooth; add one egg and blend well.

5. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan, then dollop the cheesecake mixture on top before layering with the remaining brownie batter.

6. Bake for 30–35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out mostly clean.

Notes

– For an extra kick, consider adding chopped nuts or chocolate chips to the brownie batter.

– These brownies can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for up to five days.
