Description

These juicy Greek-seasoned turkey meatballs blend Mediterranean flavors with lean protein for a healthy, flavorful dish. Perfect for meal prep, these meatballs can be served with pita, salad, or as part of a mezze platter.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds lean ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup finely crumbled feta cheese
  • 1/3 cup finely chopped red onion
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh oregano (or 2 teaspoons dried)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and mix gently until just combined. Avoid overmixing to keep meatballs tender.
  • Form mixture into 24 evenly-sized meatballs (about 2 tablespoons each).
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook meatballs for 12-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned on all sides and cooked through (165°F internal temperature).

Notes

  • Can be made ahead and frozen for up to 3 months
  • For a gluten-free option, substitute almond flour for breadcrumbs
  • Serve with tzatziki sauce for authentic Greek flavor
