Ingredients
Scale
- 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1/3 cup honey
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 12 wooden skewers
Instructions
- Soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes before using to prevent burning.
- Mix honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, olive oil, ginger, and black pepper in a bowl to create the marinade.
- Thread chicken pieces onto skewers and place in a shallow dish. Pour marinade over chicken, coating evenly. Marinate for 15-30 minutes.
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat (around 375°F).
- Grill skewers for 12-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until chicken is cooked through and slightly charred.
Notes
- For best results, don’t marinate longer than 2 hours as the honey can make the chicken too soft.
- Can be cooked under the broiler if grilling isn’t possible.
- Reserve some marinade before adding to raw chicken to use as a finishing glaze.
