- 12 mozzarella string cheese sticks
- 2 cups Italian-seasoned breadcrumbs
- 2 large eggs
- ¼ cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Marinara sauce for serving
Instructions
- Cut mozzarella sticks in half and freeze for 15 minutes until firm.
- Set up three shallow bowls: flour in first, beaten eggs in second, and breadcrumbs mixed with Italian seasoning in third.
- Dip each cheese stick in flour, then egg, then breadcrumbs. Repeat the egg and breadcrumb coating for extra crispiness.
- Heat oil to 350°F (175°C). Fry in batches for 1-2 minutes until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
