Description

A classic Chinese-inspired stir-fry combining tender beef strips with crisp broccoli in a savory garlic-ginger sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb flank steak, sliced thin
  • 4 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp ginger, minced
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup beef broth
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

  • Coat sliced beef with 1 tbsp cornstarch and set aside.
  • Mix soy sauce, beef broth, and remaining cornstarch for sauce.
  • Heat oil in wok over high heat. Stir-fry beef until browned (2-3 minutes). Remove from wok.
  • Add broccoli, garlic, and ginger. Stir-fry for 3 minutes.
  • Return beef to wok, add sauce mixture. Cook until thickened (2-3 minutes).

Notes

  • Slice beef against the grain for tenderness
  • Blanch broccoli beforehand for perfect texture
