Description
A luxuriously creamy pasta dish featuring succulent shrimp and melted mozzarella, all tossed in a garlic-infused sauce. Perfect for both weeknight dinners and special occasions.

- 12 oz fettuccine or linguine pasta
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1½ cups heavy cream
- 1 cup fresh mozzarella, cubed
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- ¼ cup fresh basil, chopped
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package directions. Reserve ½ cup pasta water before draining.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat. Add shrimp and garlic, cooking until shrimp turn pink (3-4 minutes). Remove shrimp and set aside.
- Pour heavy cream into the same skillet, simmer until slightly thickened (5 minutes). Add mozzarella, stirring until melted.
- Return shrimp to the skillet, add cooked pasta and basil. Toss to combine, adding reserved pasta water if needed for desired consistency.
Notes
- Use fresh mozzarella for best melting results
- For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half for heavy cream
- Garnish with extra basil and red pepper flakes if desired
