Description

A luxuriously creamy pasta dish featuring succulent shrimp and melted mozzarella, all tossed in a garlic-infused sauce. Perfect for both weeknight dinners and special occasions.


Ingredients

  • 12 oz fettuccine or linguine pasta
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1½ cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup fresh mozzarella, cubed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • ¼ cup fresh basil, chopped
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Cook pasta according to package directions. Reserve ½ cup pasta water before draining.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat. Add shrimp and garlic, cooking until shrimp turn pink (3-4 minutes). Remove shrimp and set aside.
  • Pour heavy cream into the same skillet, simmer until slightly thickened (5 minutes). Add mozzarella, stirring until melted.
  • Return shrimp to the skillet, add cooked pasta and basil. Toss to combine, adding reserved pasta water if needed for desired consistency.

Notes

  • Use fresh mozzarella for best melting results
  • For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half for heavy cream
  • Garnish with extra basil and red pepper flakes if desired
