Description

A quick and savory Chinese-inspired stir-fry combining tender beef strips with crisp broccoli in a rich soy-ginger sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 4 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1-inch ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Instructions

  • Slice beef against the grain, mix with 1 tablespoon soy sauce and cornstarch.
  • Heat oil in wok over high heat. Stir-fry beef until browned (2-3 minutes); remove.
  • Add broccoli, garlic, ginger; stir-fry 3 minutes.
  • Return beef, add remaining soy sauce and oyster sauce. Cook 2 minutes.

Notes

  • Freezing beef for 20 minutes makes slicing easier
  • Substitute oyster sauce with hoisin for non-seafood option
  • Best served over steamed rice
