  • 1 lb 80/20 ground beef
  • 1 medium yellow onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 cup yellow bell pepper, diced
  • 28 oz can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Sauté onions and bell peppers until soft (about 5 minutes).
  2. Add minced garlic and ground beef; cook until browned.
  3. Stir in crushed tomatoes and drained beans. Mix well.
  4. Season with chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
  5. Reduce heat to low, cover, and let simmer for at least 30 minutes while stirring occasionally.
  6. Taste and adjust seasoning as desired before serving.
