Description

Herb Roasted Chicken in Creamy White Wine Sauce is a comforting and elegant dish that brings a touch of gourmet flair to your dinner table. Tender chicken thighs are seared to perfection and then roasted in a luscious sauce made with fresh herbs, garlic, and creamy white wine.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless chicken thighs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup dry white wine (Sauvignon Blanc or Chardonnay)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Fresh rosemary and thyme (to taste)
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat the chicken thighs dry, season generously with salt and pepper.
  3. In an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat, heat olive oil and sear the chicken on both sides until golden brown (about 5 minutes each side). Remove from heat.
  4. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium-low and sauté minced garlic and herbs until fragrant.
  5. Pour in the white wine and simmer until reduced by half; then add heavy cream, stirring well.
  6. Return the chicken to the skillet, ensuring it’s coated in the sauce. Transfer to the oven and roast uncovered for 20-25 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
