  • 1 can (400ml) full-fat coconut milk
  • 1/3 cup sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 4 cups water
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Rinse sago pearls under cold water until clear, then soak for 30 minutes.
  2. Boil 4 cups of water in a pot. Add soaked sago and cook for 10-15 minutes until translucent.
  3. In another pot, heat coconut milk with sugar and a pinch of salt over medium heat until sugar dissolves.
  4. Drain excess water from sago and stir into the coconut mixture; simmer for 5 more minutes.
  5. Gently fold in sliced strawberries, then transfer to serving dishes.
  6. Chill for at least an hour before serving.
