For the Crust:

  • 1½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • ½ cup cold butter, cubed
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 23 tablespoons cold water

For the Filling:

  • 2 cups dark chocolate chips
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Topping:

  • 2 cups mixed fresh fruits (strawberries, raspberries, kiwi)
  • 2 tablespoons apricot jam (for glaze)

Instructions

  • Combine flour and sugar, cut in butter until crumbly. Mix in egg yolk and water until dough forms. Chill for 30 minutes.
  • Roll dough, fit into a 9-inch tart pan. Bake at 375°F for 20-25 minutes until golden.
  • Heat cream until simmering, pour over chocolate and butter. Stir until smooth. Pour into cooled crust.
  • Chill until set (about 2 hours), arrange fruits on top. Brush with warmed apricot jam.

  • Use high-quality dark chocolate (60-70% cocoa) for best results
  • Tart can be made 1 day ahead; add fruit just before serving
