For the Crust:
- 1½ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- ½ cup cold butter, cubed
- 1 large egg yolk
- 2–3 tablespoons cold water
For the Filling:
- 2 cups dark chocolate chips
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons butter
Topping:
- 2 cups mixed fresh fruits (strawberries, raspberries, kiwi)
- 2 tablespoons apricot jam (for glaze)
Instructions
- Combine flour and sugar, cut in butter until crumbly. Mix in egg yolk and water until dough forms. Chill for 30 minutes.
- Roll dough, fit into a 9-inch tart pan. Bake at 375°F for 20-25 minutes until golden.
- Heat cream until simmering, pour over chocolate and butter. Stir until smooth. Pour into cooled crust.
- Chill until set (about 2 hours), arrange fruits on top. Brush with warmed apricot jam.
Notes
- Use high-quality dark chocolate (60-70% cocoa) for best results
- Tart can be made 1 day ahead; add fruit just before serving
- Store in refrigerator for up to 3 days
