BUTTER SEARED LOBSTER TAILS

Description

Succulent lobster tails basted in garlic-herb butter, seared to perfection for a restaurant-quality seafood experience at home.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 (6-8 oz) lobster tails
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 lemon
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Butterfly lobster tails: Cut lengthwise through top of shell; pull meat up through shell.
  • Melt butter with garlic in large skillet over medium-high heat until foamy.
  • Season lobster with salt and pepper; place meat-side down in skillet.
  • Sear 3-4 minutes until golden; flip and baste with butter 3-4 minutes more.
  • Finish with parsley and lemon juice.

Notes

  • Choose cold-water lobster tails for best flavor
  • Let tails reach room temperature before cooking
  • Don’t overcook – meat should be opaque and firm
