For the Brownie Base:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon salt

For the Cheesecake Swirl:

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1½ cups fresh blackberries

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  • Make brownie batter: Whisk melted butter and sugar until combined. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Fold in cocoa powder, flour, and salt until just combined.
  • Make cheesecake mixture: Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add egg and vanilla, mix until creamy.
  • Pour brownie batter into prepared pan. Drop spoonfuls of cheesecake mixture on top. Scatter blackberries evenly.
  • Using a knife, gently swirl the mixtures together to create a marbled effect.
  • Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
